The How

In every What’s Cooking workshop, a consistent process guides each session

Focus training objectives to determine the type of coursework required

A consultation is conducted to customize the session to your needs.

Compose the plan of action

Facilitators establish expectations, outline desired development skills, and discuss concepts required for goal achievement.

Initial preparation

Session participants are presented with menus and instructed to create the day’s production plan based on development, strategic, and culinary needs.

Cooking session

Working from their plans, participants match individuals to the required tasks, begin production of the menu, and make necessary adjustments to reach their goals.

Feedback session

Participants review development and culinary progress with chef-instructors to determine areas of strength and opportunity.

Hands-on session

Teams move towards successful execution of the menu and continue to integrate adjustments to the plan while focusing on achieving the stated goal.

Completion, review, and wrap-up

Participants present their completed menu items, and chef-instructors review performance and process. As teams enjoy the fruits of their labor, action items and follow-up practices are discussed.
